Why not get up & out early on Sunday & go to watch the London Marathon & then come on my tour at 11am? Meet at the City Information Centre by St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The tour will look at two devastating fires that changed London irrevocably – The Great Fire of London 1666 & The Blitz 1940-41.
The tour lasts two hours & ends at The Monument, which was built to commemorate the re-building of the City of London after The Great Fire in 1666.
We will visit little known remnants of both these cataclysmic events & discover why & where the fires raged & how people of the time dealt with the disasters.
