Fleet Street – 2pm Tuesday 11th August A shadow of its former glory as the centre of printing, we shall probe the history of this atmospheric street and its environs. London’s River – 11am Saturday 15th August What could be nicer during the summer months than to stroll along the Thames Path from St. Paul’s and take in the sights and hear about the history of the locale? I shall be taking a Fleet Street walk THIS Thursday 9th May at 11 am. Meeting outside the City Information Centre. Come along & discover some desirable & undesirable types associated with this area & discover an ancient monastery crypt.
Then on Wednesday 15th at 2 pm I shall be leading the City Highlights tour. Again this meets at the City Information Centre. This tour takes in some of the very grand City buildings including the Guildhall, the Royal Exchange & the Bank of England. We also wend our way through the ancient City alleys & courts in this part of the City.
