London’s Burning Walk
The City of London has suffered two major catastrophes in the last 400 years. On this walk we will examine their effects on what we are familiar with today.
Meet at City Information Centre adjacent to St Paul’s Cathedral

Join me this Sunday for a walk around the City of London to discover why the City looks the way it does & learn about rebuilding after the Great Fire of London & The Blitz.

2 pm TOMORROW – Monuments to Murder – Find out about the blood-thirsty history of Smithfield – an ancient part of the City.
Sunday 2nd March 11 am – London’s Burning – Join me to discover more on the burning question of the City of London.
Thursday 6th March 11 am – Fleet Street – The street of ink & much more besides.
Wednesday 12th March 2 pm – City Highlights – Interesting facts & buildings to learn more about.
Friday 14th March 2 pm – Monuments to Murder – Deaths, murder & more.
Saturday 20th March 11 am – London’s River – Take a walk along the banks of the Thames & hear about its place in our history.
All walks meet at City Information Centre, near St. Paul’s Cathedral

Thursday 16th at 11 am – Fleet Street
See the oldest pub in the city & a relic of a 15th century monastery, along with the great buildings & many stories associated with Fleet Street.
Friday 24th at 11 am – Roman walk
Trace the origins of the City of London.
All walks meet at the City Information Centre near St. Paul’s cathedral.

Saturday 9th November 2.45 pm meet at No. 1 Poultry (Cheapside) for the FREE Lord Mayor’s Show walk – Taking in the Guilds of the City of London & a short walk along the Thames Path to end at the wonderful Black Friar pub.
Friday 15th November 11 am – Roman walk
Come along to discover the foundation of the City as the Capital of England
Monday 18th November 2 pm – Roman walk
Saturday 16th November 11 am – London’s River
Join me to learn about the River Thames & its influence through history

On Sunday 18th August 11 am London’s Burning Tour – Meet at City Information Centre
Join me to trace the effects on architecture of The Great Fire of London & The WWII Blitz. Also learn how people reacted to these calamities.
Monday 19th August 11 am London’s River Walk – Meet at City Information Centre. Discover facts along the eastern section of the River Pathway.
Tuesday 20th August 2 pm Fleet Street Tour – Meet at City Information Centre – A street brimming with history, including the print industry.

Just to let you know that Sunday 11am meeting at City Information Centre is my “London’s Burning” tour. Come along & find out all about two destructive fires that transformed the City of London’s architecture.
Due to the Xmas holidays there will be NO tour THIS Friday! Therefore I look forward to a leisurely weekend tour with many of you on Sunday instead!
